Dallas - January 2, 2003 - Optimal Solutions Integration, Inc. (Optimal) announced today that two technology industry veterans have joined its management team in key roles. Sam Sliman and Roy Chandler will lead sales, marketing, and business development functions for Optimal as the company prepares to continue its growth in 2003.

Sam Sliman is a former Vice President at Commerce One, where he held business development and P&L leadership responsibility for the Southeast region and Latin America. He has also held several business development and P&L leadership roles as a Vice President at AppNet, which was acquired by Commerce One in 1999, and Research & Planning, Inc., which was acquired by AppNet in 1998. He began his career as a technologist with Accenture. His clients have included Exxon/Mobil, Philip Morris, GMAC, Schindler, Tenneco, Kellogg's, Bayer, Georgia Pacific, Dial, Genzyme and more than a dozen others. He earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Roy Chandler is a former Vice President at Commerce One, where he held business development and P&L leadership responsibility for the Management Consulting business unit. He has also served in senior management roles as a co-founder of Transform IT, which was acquired by AppNet in 1999. At AppNet, Mr. Chandler served as a Division President. Prior to AppNet he held various senior management positions with BSG, SHL Systemhouse, AMS and EDS. Over the course of his career, he has managed and consulted with over 40 clients, including The Washington Post, Delta Airlines, Mars, the Department of Treasury, Hollinger, and many others. He earned his B.S. degree from Auburn University and his M.S.
