By Rory Doherty, Editorial Director, Optimal SAP Advisor
Despite the European debt crisis, a sluggish U.S. economy, and the unpredictability of macroeconomic forces, it appears that IT spending will be solid in 2012. At least this is the picture being painted as technology predictions for next year begin to trickle in.
According to Gartner, Global enterprise IT spending is projected to total $2.7 trillion in 2012. This represents a 3.9% increase from 2011 spending of $2.6 trillion. A Nucleus Research survey finds that nearly 29% of IT executives polled plan to increase IT staffing through next summer, marking a 45% increase in hiring expectations over the past two years. Nucleus also ranks the reemergence of SAP 3rd in its Top 10 Predictions for 2012.
So what does this mean for SAP consultants in 2012?
